Can. Reddish-copper pour with a huge sudsy off white head. The aroma is strong with pine, cedar, and a bit of nougat. The taste offers no surprises, caramel and bitter pine--a very old schools red ale. The palate was full and crisp with lively carbonation. Overall: A decent red ale. Paired well with some north sea cheese.

Pour at Trail's End. Clear, bronze color, with a medium, frothy, tan head. The aroma is cedar, big earthy hops, rye, cardamom, and straw. Sweet and malty, with an aggressive bitterness. Medium to heavy body, with a syrupy, grainy palate. Enjoyable.
