Bottle from Stacks. Hazy brown, thin, foamy, tan head. Aroma of dusty old raisins, prune, dried fig, brioche, syrup, wood, ripe grape, caramel, brandy. Taste has very sweet raisin, fig & date in a caramelly, syrupy malt body with some wood, dusty notes. Herbal hops in the finish, lingering dried fruits and boozy Armagnac alcohol. Full body, syrupy texture, soft carbonation. Quite fruity but 'old' and dusty too. Tastes like a potion indeed.

330 ml bottle. Pours a reddish brown with short head. Aromas of raisins, plums, soft oaky Armagnac, and doughy malts. Flavors of sweet fruity liqueur, caramel, dark fruit, red berries and doughy malts. Very nice fruity BA barley wine version. Excellent.
