500ml bottle [#877/1200]. Jet black colour with small to average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, tan head. Roasty and chocolately, dark malty and slightly citrusy fruity, minimally zesty, hoppy aroma, notes of dark chocolate, Belgian chocolate, some orange, orange juice, orange peel. Taste is roasty and chocolately, dark malty with some residual sweetness, slightly zesty, citrusy fruity hoppy, notes of dark chocolate, Belgian chocolate, orange, orange juice, a touch of orange liqueur, slightly sugary sweetness, slightly roasty and hoppy bitterness.
Slightly oily and dissolved sugar enriched, watery texture, smooth, simultaneously minimally dry palate, medium, dense, mildly prickly carbonation.
Clean, focussed, good balance of sweet- and bitterness - nice, not overly complex sipper.

Black, nice soft brown head. Biiig sweet smell, super milky chocolate, only small roast. Body is soft, medium carbonation, not super thick. Tastes quite odd, but fun. Very milk chocolate, and something bright and zesty. Orange and cacao?

Bottled 9/27/21, #934/1200, drunk 2/4/24. Very large, tan head slowly fades to cover. Dark, clear. Sweet chocolate and caramel with a hint of orange peel. Licorice, dark chocolate. No booze. Fairly thin body bolstered only by the still massive amount of sugar. Cacao adds an authentic flavor with a bit of delicate orange contributing zero acidity. Chocolate, caramel and hella sugar for days. No thanks, will pass on the diabetes.

Bottle 1036/1200. Aroma has chocolate, roast, mild sweetness. I really can’t find orange anywhere. The body is really thin. A little bit of sweetness but I don’t place orange. Just sweetness. Meh.

Bottle pour in share with Chalumeaux and AFH. It's an opaque black with thin cap of beige head with fair retention and trace lacing. Aroma is earthy malt, astringent orange zest. Taste is malt and astringent orange. Mouthfeel is light side of light-to-medium bodied with smooth, thin texture, soft carbonation, alcohol is covered well and finish as taste. Overall, orange is not prominent and is a bit astringent. Weirdly thin.
9/27/21 1036/1200 aroma is dark chocolate. Taste follows aroma with a slight sweetness from the citrus. I was kinda hoping for more orange flavor. This is a decent semi sweet stout but it's pretty thin and needs more orange.
