This modern West Coast IPA has a light, clear, and dry finish, perfectly balanced with subtle bitterness. Double dry-hopped with Citra, Mosaic, and Nelson Sauvin, T90 and Cryo, for a refreshing explosion of hop aromas. With various malts for a silky body, this beer is a harmonious blend of flavors. Refreshing, light, and hoppy! Cheers!

On tap at The Scrapyard.semi clear golden pour with a white head. Nose and taste are freshly cut grass, weed, some herbal notes even, very light sweetness, a touch of fruits to round it out. The hop profile is pretty much spot on, if it was more (I mean way more) bitter it could've been a fairly decent westie

Moersleutel's interpretation of a 'modern' West Coast IPA - i.e. West Coast IPAs as they are typically made today by breweries that did not yet (or hardly) exist when West Coast was the norm for American style IPA, usually strongly influenced by the hazy New England idiom that came (much) later. Thanks Meeki for sharing! Snow white, dot-lacing, creamy, breaking head on a hazy yellow blonde robe. Aroma of lemonbalm, lime zest, bread crust, lemongrass, lemon butter, starfruit, fresh dill. Crisp, juicy onset, lime-zesty with starfruit and maracuja hints, accents of kiwi and green melon, medium carbonated with smooth body; bread-crust-like malt core, a tad cracker-like, under aromatic lemonbalm, lime zest and slightly herbal (dill) hops providing a crisp bitterness, yet nowhere near as thorough, peppery and lasting as was the case in original West Coast IPAs. In all, I guess this beer has achieved what it set out to do: find a compromise between original, 'real' West Coast and New England, de facto ending up in what is sometimes referred to as 'mountain IPA' territory. The herbal accent even reminded me of that now forgotten forerunner of NEIPA, the old East Coast IPA... Altogether very enjoyable IPA with bits of different worlds combined, so to speak.
