Taster from tap at Beer Culture Days, Vienna. Almost black color, small pinkish/tan head. smells nuts, bit rubbery, lactose. Ok smell. Full body, soft carbonation. tastes vanilla, nutty, spices, earthy, hazelnuts, artificial aromas. finishes lightly dry and lightly roasty bitter with notes of nuts, tobacco and vanilla. Bit too pastry / artificial for me, good, better when it warms a bit

Tap at First, Dob Utca. Poured almost black in colour with a mostly lasting frothy off white head. The aroma is roasty malt and coconut. The flavour is moderate sweet and light liqourice bitter, with a smooth, somewhat rich, roasty, earthy, light herbal, light liquorice bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Can on the 'Balaton - NO Brush' charter train from Fonyod back to Budapest Deli, picked up from Beer Selection, Budapest, 10/06/23. Black with a fast collapsing tan head. Nose is dark malts, mellow roast, ashen notes, dried fruit rinds. Taste comprises tangy dark fruits, mellow roast malts, charr, toffee, stewed fruits, oatmeal raisin cookies. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Passable affair ... lacking depth and a little on the tangy side.

Can 33 cl. Thick, opaque, black pour with a frothy, light brown head with a good retention. Surprisingly subdued aroma, maybe a little chocolate. Solid malty body, sweet chocolate with hardly any roastiness. Smooth or rather slick. No bitterness. 280823
