Here our Flagship Sour, Calypso, provides the base for a re-imagined Whiskey Sour cocktail. We've spun the beer on Bourbon Oak for some rich vanilla, caramel and whiskey notes, which plays against the sharp acidity of lemon zest and juice. A moreish sweet and sour sensation.

12/11/2024. Can shared by Colin, cheers. Pours very slightly hazy pale gold with a small bubbly white head. Aroma is oaky, lemon, citrus, peach, twiggy, vanilla. Sweet and tart taste. Moderate body, average carbonation. Tart finish. Interesting.

Panda thanks to Cloin. Pretty much a clear pale gold beer, small bubbly off white head. Palate is light, semi dry and has good fine minerally carbonation. Thin malts, not much sweetness. Bright tart lemon into a curiously toffee - bourbon flavour. Mild lemon peel before a light semi dry finish. Interesting, like the lemon but the bourbon aspect is odd but not at all unpleasant.

Can at home, from HOTM online, 29/09/24. Hazed orange topped with a white cap that thins to a swirl. Nose is lemon sherbet, grass, damp cloth, hedgerow, light acidic nostril tickle, whisky stained oak. Taste comprises sharp lemon, hay bale, lactic tang, citric sherbets, damp oak, light funk, faint bourbon soak. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light drying close with a good puckering bite. Solid tangy 'Linner ... having just had another Calypso the whisky element is subtle but noticeable.

Hazy golden bee4, thin white head. Tart, zesty aroma. Flavour follows suit, with something almost pickle-y but you do then get a waft of the bourbon too. I wouldn't necessarily rush back for another but they've hit the brief and it is quite tasty if you're into this sort of thing.

Can at home picked up from HOTM. A translucent golden orange coloured pour with a fine off white head. Aroma is off raw oak, waxy, smoked wheat, bourbon, lime tequilla. hint of caramel on the nose as well. Flavour is composed of sharp bitter green lime, woody tannin, bourbon, raw oak, spicy citrus, grapefruit, caramel notes. Intriqueing and fun. Palate is sharp and tangy, prickly carbonation. Quite unique,.
