330ml bottle. Pours black with a thin tan head. Aroma of vanilla, cocoa, dark malts, molasses. Taste is very sweet, rich, chocolate, vanilla, toffee, coffee, oak barrel, gentle booze warmth. Medium-full bodied, smooth. Great stout, though quite sweet for Põhjala I think.

33cl bottle from Sip, Tallinn. Pours pitch black with a modest, beige head. Malty, somewhat boozy and roasty with notes of whisky, rye, caramel, dried fruits, dark chocolate and wood. Sweet, smooth, warming and rather massive this one. Desserty and pleasant sipper, but maybe a bit to much with a whole bottle alone...

Panda at home, thanks to Kenneth, 30/11/24. Black with a khaki cap that veers to the edge. Nose is dark malts, spice, herb, cacao nibs, rye barrel, molasses. Taste comprises fruit cake mix, brown sugar melt, hint of vanilla, spice, coffee, more rye barrel, toffee fudge. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a balanced rising boost. Solid BA impy if perhaps running a little overly sweet for my liking.
