Rating #48,000. 330mL bottle, pours jet black with a small tan head. Aroma reveals huge cognac barrels front-and-centre, with a deep roasted malt base, and some umami notes. Flavour is rich and complex, with intense cognac barrels, dark chocolatey roasted malts, leather, tobacco, and a touch of dark dried fruits. The cognac barrels are used to perfection, somehow not adding any harshness at all. Excellent.

Totally black, dark brown small head that fizzles away.
aroma of dried dark fruits or sour imperial stout, a little bit like a sligthly tart quad. flavor is roasted malts, very faint hint of dried dark fruits like raisins, boozy sting, cognac, wood, dark chocolate. The end has a little charred wood. Palate is fantastic, a bit thick, faint coconut like note.
very unusual imp stout with the dried dark fruitiness, but it works surprisingly well - and the beer is extremely complex without me getting the feeling they added all sorts of stuff (which they probably have not done)

Op tap bij Borefts '25. Zwarte kleur, dunne bruine kraag. Pure chocolade, gebrand, koffie, licht boozy, cognac, rozijnen, gebrande suiker, hout, bitter. Medium tot volle body. Veel te koud geschonken, maar ben verder ook niet helemaal overtuigd. Lekker, maar voldeed niet geheel aan mijn hooggespannen verwachtingen.

On tap at Borefts 2025. Black beer thin tan head. Well its an imperial stout. Some strength to the abv. Am trying to taste the cognac but not getting much unless its the booze. OK. Heavy dark chocolate a little juicy. Some spirit there.

Bottle shared at the craft beer junction bermondsey tasting. Many thanks. A thick dark mahogany brown coloured pour with a halo of tan head. Aroma is semi sweet brown sugars, white grape. Vanilla,. Flavour is composed of oily, brown sugars, bruised grape. Palate is medium sweet, sticky, oily, moderate carbonation.
