Golden yellow in colour, this geuze is medium bodied and re-fermented in the bottle. Please note this is the 2020 version. It has a corked top. It consists of 95% mild lambic that has aged at least 3 years and 5% young lambic. It has a mildly sour taste. Gueuze Mariage Parfait won a bronze medal at the Brussels Beer Challenge 2018 for the category of Old Style Gueuze-Lambic. In 2019, it was awarded a silver medal at the World Beer Awards for the category of “World’s Best Gueuze”. In 2024, it was also awarded a silver medal at the World Beer Awards.

Clear golden, stable, foamy, off-white head. Aroma of hay, leather, barnyard, oak, gooseberry, green apple. Taste has sour green apple, funky hay, leather, oak. Tart finish of green apple, bitter grassy hops, wood & leather. Medium body, moussy texture, average carbonation. Very drinkable, relatively bitter Geuze.

Aromas are malt, honey, brett, spice and a touch of barnyard. Flavors are similar to nose, fairly dry with just a hint of sweet in back and bitter. Good body in carbonation. Really not all that interesting. Wonder what it would be like with some decent aging.
