Sensory Session #135: Hazy, golden color and a White head. Fruity nose of ester and banana, Something hoppy, Something burnt. Taste Is wheaty-yeaaty, bitter, hoppY

Almost clear golden beer with a white lacing. Aroma of sweet banana and wheat malt, phenols, some scented hops. Taste of sweet ripe banana, sweet wheat malt, phenols.

Bananiger, weich hefiger Beginn. Milde Herbe, bananig bleibend, trocken, weich. Leicht hefig-bananiger Abgang, wenig hopfig. Ok. 9/8/8/8/9/8

0.33 l bottle from the brewery's web shop, best before July 2025. Very hazy, golden amber with a medium large, frothy, slowly diminishing, white head. Sweetish, quite yeasty-spicy, gently fruity-floral aroma of banana, pineapple, gooseberry and some clove. Quite sweet, moderately bitter, quite yeasty-spicy, rather fruity-floral, a bit grassy and minimally soapy taste of banana, clove, pineapple, gooseberry, pomelo and quince, followed by a short, moderately bitter finish. Medium to full body, gently effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Nice Weizenbock, should probably be categorized as Hopfenweisse though. Maybe too soapy, not on par with Schneider's benchmark example anyway.

330ml bottle. Cloudy, dark yellow-ish to orange golden colour with average, frothy, osteoporosing, minimally lacing, white head. Minimally bready, wheaty malty, slightly yeasty fruity and minimally floral, fruity hoppy aroma, notes of banana, honey, crisp bread, some mango, unpleasant overtones of silage, horse dung among the tropical fruit, whiffs of glue and soap. Taste is sweet, wheaty malty and yeasty fruity, bitter and tropical fruity hoppy, notes of banana, baked banana, honey, some mango, minimally soapy overtones; lingering, bitter hoppy finish. Dissolved sugar enriched, watery texture, dry palate, medium, mildly prickly carbonation. Quite some off-flavours here - disappointing.

Very hazy amber colour, white foam. Lots of banana, potpourri, sweet dried fruit, even some marzipan, light hoppy finish.
