Can ordered from the brewery. Aroma has chocolate, dusty coffee. Dark and glossy. Foamy beige head. Initial bitterness which matches the Aroma. Followed by a tangy berry streak. Underlying molasses hints. Medium bodied. Oily. Average-soft carbonation..Long dry somewhat astringent finish. Hmmm... I guess they were trying to pump in flavour but it's somehow a bit OTT for me. A bit ick.

Keg @ Tap and Can. Pours dark with a tan head. Crackin. Excellent flavoursome stout for the strength, nicely rich with a piney hop presence. Very good

Deep dark brown, near black, with a frothy tan head and a big fruity nose. Sweet dark fruit up front, some sweet coffee notes before a very slightly bitter finish

500ml can. Pours black with a thin tan head. Aroma of roast malts, slightly ashy, chocolate. Taste follows suit, a roasty affair with some light ashy flavours, dark chocolate, subtle hints of liquorice and dark fruit, bittersweet though leaning decidedly on the bitter side. Light-medium bodied, smooth almost creamy mouthfeel. Non-adjunct non-imperial stouts seem to be a rarity in the craft beer world these days; this was a very nice one.
