Cask at Ebenezers, Crewe. Pours golden yellow with a small off-white head. There’s golden syrup in the aroma, plus traces of malts. In the mouth it is slightly sweet and tangy, but with some underlying bitterness and a slightly watery texture. Flavours are understated – some citrus and orange, plus floral hops later on. Finish is a little more bitter. This is reasonable – just not very exciting !

Cask @ Tap and Can. Pours clear gold, white head. Smooth, almost creamy cask palate.. nicely fruity.. gently sweet, fairly straightforward pale.

Cask at the brewery. Poured a crystal clear golden colour with a lasting frothy white head. The aroma is malt, light citrus. The flavour is moderate sweet, light bitter, with a light, somewhat smooth, slightly watery, malt, yeasty, light herbal, light citrus fruit palate. Medium to light bodied with soft carbonation.
