Tart, sweet and refreshing. A homage to the first Dishoom dessert. Pineapple, peppercorn crumble re imagined as a soured beer. A bespoke collaboration between UnBarred and Permit Rooms.
A balanced body to support the concept of a pineapple and peppercorn crumble. Our base Berliner Weisse is tart, sweet and complimentary to a nostalgic desert.
Aromas of fresh pineapple, citrus, cinnamon and vanilla tempt you in for a full dessert experience. Delicately balanced with drinkability in mind.
Lashings of vibrant pineapple purée were added during the end of fermentation. The beer was then conditioned on Madagascan vanilla pods to add a touch of sweetness.

Keg at The Permit Room, Oxford. Lightly hazed yellowy-gold with a white head. Pineapple, sweet lemon and a little creamy custard. Couldn't get any hint of pepper though which was a shame. Good balance of sweet and sour with a touch of dryness in the finish. A lovely and rather unusual brew which I thoroughly enjoyed as an aperitif. Unfortunately when I had the remainder of it part way through my curry, it not only clashed badly with the food but somehow activated the spice and set my mouth on fire! Maybe not one to serve in a Indian restaurant then, but that aside a great brew.

Keg @ Tap and Can. Hazed yellow appearance, white foamy head. Good sweet pineapple aroma from the off, continuing prominently to taste with perhaps a hint of passionfruit. No pepper. Good balanced sour edge
Tart, pineapple, vanilla, can’t feel much of the pepper, maybe just a little bit on the finish? This is very nice anyway
