Actually I didn't mind this one. Pours a dark reddish brown. Roast and ash notes amongst a dark fruity tang. Light but not watery like a good traditional mild. Better than most from this brewery.
cask at the gunmaker.. aa pleasant and permenant... deep red brown ...soft sweet caramel toffee fruit nose ...Light sweet woody caramel toffee malts

Cask @ Gunmaker's Arms with Jeremy. Pours very dark, beige head. Dried dark fruit aroma, dark fruity shades form much of the flavour profile, but does taste like it's been left in the line a while, dusty.. shame.

Hand-pulled half-pint on 25th January 2024, shared with Mat. Black bodied, tanned head. Malty, nutty, old and slightly musty. Considering we were in the brewpub Two Towers were not having a good day, this wasn't the first 'iffy' beer we were served.

Cask at the brewpub. Aroma has mocha, berries an earthiness. Dark and glossy. Thin foamy white head. Medium bitter with a sour streak. Charcoal and dark berries. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Long somewhat astringent finish.
