From the cherry tree’s transient flowers, its fruits ripen – round, red and packed with sunshine. Timmermans Kriek is brewed by adding natural juice to lambic beer, a blend that is then fermented in oak barrels. After which it is bottled.Timmermans Kriek blends its famed lambic with this sweetness for a beer that can quench any thirst. Its natural freshness will make you blush for joy.
Taste-wise… Its flavour is all cherry, as is already apparent from its very powerful nose. Its acidity is neutralised by its agreeably sweet and fruity bouquet. Its taste pervades the mouth and lingers gently, elegantly tinted with summer cherries.

11 April 2022. At Bier Central, Antwerpen (stop on the way to Amsterdam). Clear red, thin, pink head. Aroma of sweet cherry, yoghurt, cookie dough, cherry juice. Taste has sweet cherry & raspberry, softly acidic over doughy malts. Sugary finish, bit lemony, mostly sweet cherry. Medium body, creamy texture, soft carbonation. Very artifical 'Lambic' if that is even the case.

Bottle. Clear dark red with a medium sized beige/white head. Looking good. Aroma of (artificial) cherries, marzipan and yogurt. Taste is almost overpowered by the very high levels of carbonation but there are traces of cherry juice and some red berries to be found. Sweet and sour but also surprisingly moderately bitter. I suppose it would work well for mixing up inoffensive summer cocktails.

Produced 06/03/19 so probably means March 6th 2019.
Lovely red colour, good head of foam, some floaties. Not surprising given the age of the bottle.
The smell, in a nutshell, sweet cherries.
The taste, in a nutshell, sweet cherries with only the slightest hint of tartness.
Good mouthfeel. This is a delicious dessert beer. That is all.

Fles thuis geprobeerd met LiekevdV. Het is een kersenrood bier met een dun schuim. Het heeft een sterke kersen geur, de smaak is zoetig en kunstmatig kersen achtig.
