Bottle. Color: Black, light brown head. Aroma: Coffee, roasted mal, liquorice. Taste: Vanilla, roasted malt, ash, coffee, earthy, some dark chocolate. Hoppy backbone. Over medium body, below average carbonation. Dense, creamy mouthfeel. Moderate to over moderate sweet and bitter. Very nice English Imperial Stout.

33cl bottle, courtesy of SarkyNorthener, pours with a nice deep dark chocolate colored body that supports a thin tan head of foam. The aroma offers up chocolate heading quickly to milk chocolate and then thin ribbons of dark roasted malts and spicy black licorice. The taste delivers a pleasing blend of dark chocolate, dark roasted malts and some softer milk chocolate. To midway it picks up a wafer thin layer of sweet dark fruity esters and a bit of spicy black licorice. This is smooth with the right amount of depth and richness. Solid offering.

330ml bottle from, I believe, Appleyard's. Pitch black pour, no head or lacing but possesses a good malt depth, nice chocolatey side.. pretty decent overall
