From the cherry tree’s transient flowers, its fruits ripen – round, red and packed with sunshine. Timmermans Kriek is brewed by adding natural juice to lambic beer, a blend that is then fermented in oak barrels. After which it is bottled.Timmermans Kriek blends its famed lambic with this sweetness for a beer that can quench any thirst. Its natural freshness will make you blush for joy.

Taste-wise… Its flavour is all cherry, as is already apparent from its very powerful nose. Its acidity is neutralised by its agreeably sweet and fruity bouquet. Its taste pervades the mouth and lingers gently, elegantly tinted with summer cherries.

Unclear deep red color with a pinkish head. Good lacing. Nice kriek aroma with a fine intensity. Quite decent body for a 4% alcohol beer. A fine smooth carbonation and a good balance between sweetness and acidity. Nice mellow and tasty kriek flavor in this one. Also some almonds.

0,25L bottle as Timmermans Kriek Lambicus 4% ABV (from SIP, Tallinn). Pours red with pink head. The head stays for some time. Aroma is sweet, sour, cherry jam. Flavor is also sweet and sour, cherry jam, some metallic notes. Body is thin. Overall: ok-ish sweetned cherry lambic.

Bottled, as Delhaize Kriek Lambic, from the supermarket. Very candy-like cherry nose, more like a cherry soda or cherry coke, with vanilla, cream. Nothing lambic about it, though it is somehow appetizing. Reddish-orange, lace, pretty but thin. Amazingly sweet cherry with sour notes, vanilla, some yogurt, a bit of lambic tank but no funk. Very clean. Somewhat balanced and tasty but more like a cherry soda overall.

Bottle split at JF’s - cheers James, 18/08/13. Pours cherry red with a moderately sized crimson covering that retains well. Nose is cherry drops, sugary, sweet and artificial smelling. Taste follows, little else to say, very light tartness in the the cherry but very much sweet cherry drops. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, sweet dryish finish. Meh - oversweetened nonsense!
