From the cherry tree’s transient flowers, its fruits ripen – round, red and packed with sunshine. Timmermans Kriek is brewed by adding natural juice to lambic beer, a blend that is then fermented in oak barrels. After which it is bottled.Timmermans Kriek blends its famed lambic with this sweetness for a beer that can quench any thirst. Its natural freshness will make you blush for joy.
Taste-wise… Its flavour is all cherry, as is already apparent from its very powerful nose. Its acidity is neutralised by its agreeably sweet and fruity bouquet. Its taste pervades the mouth and lingers gently, elegantly tinted with summer cherries.

Aus der Flasche im 2016-11 getrunken. Nee, nee, NEE! Das ist ja gesüßter Kirschsaft oder eher eine Kirschbrause! Och nö - Hier bin ich raus!

Tap at Monk’s. Bright reddish with a pink foam. Aroma and taste are all about cherry pie, almonds and marzipan. Highly artificial though.

250ml bottle. Pours a deep red with a fizzy pink head. Sweet synthetic cherry, yoghurt and citric acidity, little wheat, can taste the carbonation a little. Quite heavily carbonated. One of those one dimensional beers where the dimension just happens to be something I love.

Sampled at La Bécasse. Pink-ruby color with white head. Aroma is artificial cherry syrup, and intensely at that. Taste is sugary cherry candy, syrupy. Medium carbonation. Way too chemical.

Dark red, hazy look. Moderate quickly diminishing head. Sweet cherry on nose. Light body. Refreshing sourish taste. Cherry, apples. The taste is tarter than the aroma could give a hint of. Not bad

0.25l bottle. Clear ruby body with a thin pinkish head. Aroma of sour cherry and sugar syrup. Taste of sour cherry, sugar syrup and a hint of lemon zest. Not like a lambic at all.
