Our Interpretation of a traditional English barely wine; Brewed with ingredients including 2 varieties of yeast selected for fermentation.

Rested for 12 months in bourbon barrels, allowing the vanilla and oak to gradually infuse into the barley wine. Perfectly complemented by notes of toffee, dried fruit and honey, creating a warming, rich and dangerously drinkable barely wine.

A very light haze on this amber beer, small cream colour head. Smooth palate, mildly dry, decent fine carbonation. Smooth malts, cream and mild caramel, trace of toffee. Nice soft marmalade backdrop to soft but reasonably rich bourbon. Mild esters and something a little cappuccino like in the mid. Nice English hop Orchard fruits vibe in the back end along with savoury wood. Quite a light finish that brings a more vanilla buttery caramel A light and layered barleywine that goes down pretty easy.

330ml bottle shared with Mark while brewing our Christmas barley wine. Dark amber appearance, cream-coloured head. Toffee nose, soft palate with a lovely smooth vanillery bourbon influence. Very nice.
