Okay, so we’ve brought Strata to the Polly’s party in its own single hop showcase, and we’re familiar with the little eccentricities of this varietal on its own at this point. It’s only now though when the real fun begins for our brewers – pairing everyone’s new favourite hype hop up with other hops to create full on flavour explosions. Wanting to give recognition to one of the varietals that has acted as the lifeblood that has carried us through our entire existence, it only felt natural to introduce Strata to Citra and create Breezed. Maintaining the DDH Pale style we find the intensity of these two varietals warrant, this beer is a certified hop bomb of high juice and low bitterness; with zesty citrus notes, tropical fruits, along with that distinctive dank weed flavour and aroma profile that makes Strata so unique.

Keg @ The Brewery Tap, Chester accompanying our potato wedges. Opaque hazed pale golden yellow, good white head. Crushable pale, crisp grapefruit bitterness, moderate sweetness, good drinkability with a light bitter tickle, soft palate. Decent.

Draught keg from the Real Ale Classroom, Stoneygate, Leicester. Light yellow and creamy/hazy with a full white head. Light grassy aroma, some mint, some soap. Sweet taste with some white grapefruit rind hop and more mint. Bitterness in the finish. Full body, soft carbonation. Not that impressive. Still decent.
