A light, easy-drinking ale brewed to showcase the beauty of Golden Promise, our principal malt from Simpsons Malt in Berwick. Selected for its quality, we feel brewing with this premium malt adds an extra layer of flavour, balance and depth to our brews.

Hops are increasingly the focus of lighter beers these days, but great British malt is the backbone to all of our great beers, and we want to shout about it too!

[June 2022] Clear and golden with a small white head and a soft furit malt aroma. Flavour is more sweet and fruity than malty, a little thin with a touch of hoppy bitterness in the finish

Cask @ Golden Lion, Todmorden. Blonde with a head. Easy session brew, not thin for its low strength, has a healthy hoppiness about it too.

Cask @ Tap and Can. Clear gold, small white head. Sweet pale malt aroma. Oily palate. Nice gentle golden ale, clean and light with good malt sweetness.
