Can split at DS, thanks to Fergus, 29/09/22. Light black with a decent tan cap. Nose is toasted brown sugar, cocoa powder, chocolate biscuit, dried fruits, dark malts. Taste comprises chocolate, artificial sugars, dried fruits, cocoa powder, toffee. Medium plus bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok impy stout ... flavour belies the ABV but also lacks depth.

Can shared in London - cheers to Fergus. Pours clear, deep. Town with a small, creamy tan head. Medium sweet flavour, some chalky cocoa, light minerality, a little artificial cocoa, nips of dark fruits. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Sugary finish, more chalky cocoa. So so.

Can shared at Columbus tasting 29/09/2022. From HOTM. An opaque dark brown coloured pour with a lasting mid tan head. Aroma is dry roast, cinnamon, ashy roast, rustic roast, blackened sugars, Flavour is composed of dry roast, nutty, cinnamon, brown sugars, custard, mealy roast, Palate is semi sweet, oily, vanilla, oily, highish carbonation. Ok. Slightly odd flavour to it.

440ml Can @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie, Nov 21. Surprise final beer of the evening after Jeremy rushed to get his train (sorry Jeremy!). Thanks Mike for presenting us with this. As if we needed another. Pours very dark, good beige head. Big bourbon nose, some vanilla, chocolate. Sumptuously sweet character to taste with bourbon, chocolate and vanilla all coming through nicely. Excellent BA stout.
