Our PGR has aged for 24 months on oak barrels and has been bottled for the first time on the 27th of December 2007. The main difference with the Pannepot Reserva is that PGR matured the last ten months on Calvados oak barrels, adding extra complexity to the beer. We dedicate this beer as a tribute to Jeppe & Michael of Ølbutikken in Denmark. Those gentlemen were the first to discover our beers on an International basis back in 2004 and are responsable somehow for our beers being all over the globe since then. As a token of gratitude towards Jeppe & Michael, the first shipment of PGR was scheduled to Ølbutikken so they could be the first to launch its commercialisation.

Taste is strong initial sweet dark fruit, tart apple/pear, toffee, followed by bourbon, oak. Smooth, soft carb, finish as taste. Nice complexity and balance.

Bottle at home. 2010 bottle. Can't remember were i picked it up, Probably from the old school yard. Aroma is Deep dark black with reddy hues, Still a decent loose khaki head that fades. Aroma is semi sweet, figgy prunes, mild dusty funk, cola cubes, some age, raisin loaf. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, intese dark fruits, raisin, prunes, dusty malts, spicy notes, light oak tannin, Has held up well with the age, but perhaps past its best. Palate is thick and oily, mellow carbonation.

Bottle from Beer Wine Nation in Merrimack Pours a solid dark brown color with a small but long lasting light tan head. Sherry soaked dried fruit with bits of toasty caramel faint bourbon oak. Hints of warming alcohol and faint cardboard. Pretty nice brew.

Vintage 02/02/2022 Pours solid mahogany into a teku. Mocha head with medium retention recedes to mottle surface. Dark pit fruit, molasses and vanilla aromas. Thick with dark bourbon soaked raisins, prunes and dark red grapes upfront turning to slick, warmed treacle and molasses in the medium length finish.
