Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Aroma is roasted malt with chocolate, burnt notes, dark bread, caramel. Flavour is modestly sweet with a moderate to medium roasty bitterness. Body is medium. Solid Schwarz.

Really strong roast character, almost burnt, but not in a bad way. Clean finish, strong intense flavours. But somewhat thin body lacking a real complex full mouthfeel. Tastes a bit too straightforward & single dimensional. beerwulf online bottle

50cl Bottle at Werkspoor De Leckere. Almost black colour, beige head. Aroma of chocolate, rye, light roast. Flavour is medium sweet, malty, chocolate, rye, bittersweet finish. Light bodied. Decent.

7 3 7 3 14Draft at The Hague Beer fest. Near black with a tan head. Aroma of roast, chocolate and malt. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with light carbonation.

Tap at NBPF. Black with big beige head. Sweet malts, light melon, soft roast, raw cocoa beans, apple, light mineral. Just medium sweet and under medium bitter. Medium bodied with crisp feel. Quite OK though a little bland.
