Utterly abysmal. Fake banana flavor with a touch of fake vanilla and chocolate. Thin fizzy texture just makes it worse. C’mon, Abita.

Refrigerated 12 oz bottle poured into a glass. Black with small beige head. Aroma is bananas, medium body and little lacing. Taste is bananas, nuts, and caramel. It is a bit artificial, but I enjoyed this.

Bottle, $2 from Chalet Premier. Pour is big and black, large and in charge. Creamy tan head fades to pond scum. Nose is all bananas and no stout, interestingly sweet. Big heavy impy stout impact on the taste buds followed up by a bruising banana bang, very unique fer sher. Volatile palate, does not hide alky smash. Quite a crashing turbulent slamming jolt, whew. Not as pastry as many domestic pastry stouts but pastry none the less. Yes, like whisky laced banana pie. Can't find any walnuts or ice cream, but bumping bananas fer sher. Mouth coating unstable and uneasy. I bet Richard Foster, Owen Brennan and the New Orleans Crime Commission would appreciate this mess of an alky bomb. Extra point for the brain numbing effects.
Okay so it's good sometimes... and other times it's just a little too over the top.
