Pours a copper from a tap with cream colored head. Kind of sick smelling, flavor is slightly metallic pine. Okay beer.

Keg pour into taster cup at NH Brewfest. Appearance is clear, light brown/dark amber with a small ring of foamy off-white head with no sparkle. Aroma is mild caramel, rye. Taste is mild spicy rye and bitter herbal hops, light malt. Palate is medium bodied with thick texture, lively-to-fizzy carbonation and spicy rye finish with some bitter and yeast. Overall, I was expecting more bold aromas and flavors but overall this was fairly nondescript.

This was poured into a becher pint glass.
The appearance was a transparent dry dark amber color with a thin cap of a white little head. Mild messy lacing.
The aroma takes in mildly sweet to spicy rye initially and then some citrus and piney playing with a sly sweet caramel malty sweetness.
The flavor takes in all of the previously mentioned aromas to blend and then give give that kick of the spice in the aftertaste bumps and then bites into the finish.
On the palate, this one sits about a light to medium on the body with a nice sessionability about it. Carbonation feels fairly low.
Overall, another nice beer by Sebago, always a solid brewery, and this beer doesn’t fail to show us a hell of a lot of nice attributes.

LSAT Freedom Trip #92. Keg at Rock Harbor Brewpub. Clear copper, large foamy tan head, good retention. Aroma of rye and caramel. The taste is strong rye, caramel, citrus. Medium bodied, lingering bitterness.

Draft in a mason jar at Community Oven. Nose is spicy rye, caramel malts and stale bread crust. Flavor starts with Citrus orange, floral hops, and a strong amount of spicy rye. Body is lots of grain. As it warmed up pine comes through in the finish. This beer is hop forward and should be received well. Something about the rye and pine didn’t sit well with me. Perhaps it was the pizza I was eating. I used to really like this brewery and it’s nice to see something new from them.

Nice hoppy with grapefruit and pine. Pours dark brown with good creamy head and lacing. Finishes with some bitterness and a little sourness even. Rye adds great malt. Soft carbonation.

Keg at the Portland branch. Nose holds some nice piney hops, subtle toasted bread, grass. Medium sweet flavor with dry bread, pine, semi-ripe orange, modest grapefruit. Medium bodied with fine, Lilly creamy carbonation. Lightly resinous on the finish, lightly toasted bready sweetness, some earth, grass, citrus rind. Pretty solid beer.
