Cask at Furnace, Derby. Pours a very dark reddish-brown with minimal cream head. Marshmallows and hints of chocolate in the aroma. In the mouth it has a milky texture with flavours of vanilla, cocoa and roast malts, plus some dark fruits underneath it all. There are some subtle spices too, and the finish is reminiscent of aniseed. This is quite simply gorgeous !

Gravity cask at the 2016 Cambridge Beer Festival. Purplish-brown, very translucent with a loose cream-coloured head. Oak and berry in the aroma with a harsh astrigency. The vanilla comes out in spades for the sweet warming taste. Like a root beer float, thereโ€™s a slight spiciness in the finish. Thin body. Ok but not one of TBMโ€™s better efforts.
