Pours gold from the can with a foamy, white crown. Aroma is bready, a touch floral. Taste is less sweet than I’d expect for the style, being defined instead by a bittersweetness that turns crisp and mildly bitter in the finish. Body stays light throughout. Okay.

Draft at brewery. Light and uninteresting. Some citrus notes, lemons. Mild graininess, light bodied, but not really capturing the helles style.

12oz can. Filtered transparent yellow-tan body. Thin white head laces the glass some. Kind of an amateur you-can’t-lager-well aroma. The taste is reasonable, I will certainly finish my glass. Pretty close to pulling it off well, but not there. SOrt of sugary, cheap feel. OKish.

Served from a Howler, purchased at Liquor Shed.

It pours a very pale straw yellow with a 1" head of foam and has great lacing.

It has a spicy hop nose that’s typical of the style along with some grain.

The taste is more grainy than hoppy. I wish it were the other way around. The hop spice does maintain itself throughout the session but the grain begins to wear on my palate rather quickly.

The body is not a thin as I thought from the first sips, the carbonation is on the fine side. Good mouthfeel.

I’d call it a goodish example of the style but I don’t understand why the Howler came at a premium price...$7.99 for 32 oz.
