Freiheit! Means “freedom” in German and is a reference to Münchner Freiheit, the area of Münich where the Allies freed the German people of Nazi rule as well as an 80’s New Wave band that we love.

On tap at The Beer Junction, pours a clear pale golden with a small white head. Aroma brings sweet toasted grains and some straw. Flavour is on the sweet side for the style, with sweet grainy malt, straw and biscuity notes. Too sweet for the style but still acceptable. Alright.

Called a festbier at Saraveza. Pale yellow color with white head. Light grassy aroma. Light body malt forward. Pleasing bready finish.

On tap at Belmont Station, Portland, Oregon. Pours a clear straw colour with a small off-white head. Slightly sour aroma of grass, wet hay and minerals. The flavour has more grass, sweet malt, hay, white bread and spicy hops. Has a slick mouth feel, light to medium body and light to medium bitterness. A balanced and fresh pale lager. Solid taste but weak aroma.
