0.75 l bottle from 'Drankgigant.nl', 2024 vintage, best before August 2027, cellared for almost a year. Almost clear, very dark ruby to black with a large, foamy, almost stable, beige head. Sweetish-malty, gently yeasty-spicy and slightly fruity aroma of caramel, molasses, raisins, figs, marzipan and light coconut. Quite sweet, malty, moderately bitter, gently yeasty-spicy and slightly fruity taste of molasses, caramel, clove, chocolate, raisins, figs, marzipan and some coconut, followed by a medium long, moderately roasty-bitter, slightly warming finish. Almost full-bodied, quite effervescent mouthfeel, very lively carbonation. Round, harmonious brew, still a little sharp maybe but other than that a fine sipper for when in Christmas mood.
Aards, veel koolzuur, bitter, caramel, rozijn,

Short pour at the Brick Store. Pours brown, with a big, foamy, tan head. The aroma is nutmeg, maple, black bread, and toffee. Sweet and malty, with a mellow, savory bitterness. Medium to heavy body, grainy, and slick. Sharp, sticky, and quality.
