Barrel aged sour made with fresh blood oranges given to us from local distillery, Locksleys. The flesh of the fruit was directly into a single barrel of a simple sour base beer, hopped with UK grown Opus, which itself lends notes of sticky orange to back up the citrus character. The fruit gives a fresh, sharp acidity to the beer along with a gentle blush of soft pink hue.

750ml bottle from Abbeydale. Gluten Free. Rating #12,000. Pale yellow golden colour, afew bubbles on top and aroma of soured citrus, blood orange, woody, funk. Taste is tart, sour, wood barrel, citric rind, blood oranges, funky, oaky, with salty notes and drying acidity. Medium bodied, low carbonation, dry sour citric acidic finish. Nicely drinkable.
