The apple we all knew and loved had been wrongly named ever since it was brought to these shores from France by the pomologist Henri Michelin in 1883. It turns out that this gentleman’s name had stuck and the apple’s true name was forgotten until recent DNA testing uncovered the mistake! So may we present to you, in its true form, Bisquet, the apple formerly known as Michelin!
With a vibrant flavour reminiscent of pineapple, this rich, unctuous sparkling cider pairs beautifully with soft blue cheese. 750ml. 6.6%.

Panda at home, thanks to Ed Danlo, 22/10/24. Copper pour with a white crown that soon vanishes. Nose is caramelised apples, straw, hedgerow, light sugar dusting, modest funk. Taste comprises apple peel, earthy, toffee, herb, barnyard, tannins. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light drying close. Tidy.

750ml bottle from Cat in the Glass. Sparkling, orangey amber-gold colour, short-lived off-white foam head and aroma of apple, fleshy, fruits, funk. Taste is sweet, apple, skin, fruity, syrupy, with stone fruit notes, grapefruit citric, some tart acidity and drying bittersweet tannins. Medium bodied, medium carbonation, drying tart & tannic finish. Nicely drinkable.
