This is Major, an iconic cider apple, as grown on our farm, from trees planted by our family nearly forty years ago. 500ml bottle from Ross on Wye. Orangey gold colour, short-lived off-white foam head and aroma of apple, oak, wood barrel, leather, funk. Taste is tangy, tart, apple, oaky, orchard floor, wood barrel, leather, mucky barnyard funky, earthy, with drying bittersweet tannins. Medium bodied, light carbonation, dry tart & tannic finish. Nicely drinkable.
