Yellow Huffcap is a wonderful heritage variety that produces gorgeous, tear drop shaped pears that prove a challenge for the cidermaker! They ripen in a tiny, twenty four hour window, meaning you have to be quick to harvest these pears as soon as they fall. Work swiftly and the perry they produce is unique. It has a silky acidity, sweet sherbet and honeysuckle notes. Pour carefully to avoid the natural sediment. 750ml. 7%.

750ml bottle from Ross on Wye, for #rgpm. Sparkling, pale yellow colour, short-lived white foam head and aroma of perry pear, light flowery, alittle funk hint. Taste is fruity perry pear, fleshy, some honey, floral notes, wood, funky underhint, with sherberty citric acidity and light tannin. Medium bodied, light carbonation, drying peary finish. Nicely drinkable.
