An array of powerful flavours come together in an orchestra of harmonious expressions. Deep rich toffee apple, chocolate and malt, campfire and night air, melting together thanks to the majesty of time. A single variety apple made whole by barrel fermentation, extended maturation in tank and in bottle, and with each taste, showing you a different part of itself. 500ml. 8.4%.

Bottle from the beer shop St Albans. It pours clear pale copper with quickly dissipating fizz white head. The aroma is fresh, juicy, fragrant, crunchy apple, cherry, red grape, vinous and sherbet. The taste is dryish initially, bitter - sweet, earthy, leafy, leather, crunchy ripe apple, some red fruits, some cherry drops, red grape, tannin, dry oak and warming booze with a drying, leathery finish. Medium body and essentially still. Quite an interesting fruity and savoury offering.

500ml bottle from Ross on Wye store, Yew Tree Inn, Peterstow. Hazed orangey gold colour, no head and aroma of oak, wood barrel, tar, apple, fruit. Taste is tangy, woody, barrel notes, tar, smoke, with juicy apple, fruity and soft tannins. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, drying with oak barrel and tannic at the finish. Nicely drinkable.
