With a primal scream we pitch the Kveik yeast to make the beer strong and ward off evil spirits. This crazy Double IPA is loaded with US hops and has layers of bitter orange & citrus that give way to the freshness of spruce needles & pine shoots. Big, bold, bitter & resinous

Can shared in the garden thanks to a colleague. Pours just hazy golden with a thin white head. Aromas of peach, grapefruit, light pine. Taste is more of the same. Nice bitter finish.

Can from Drinkmonger. Clear golden body with a thin white head. Low carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of peach, pine and orange. Flavour of juicy nectarine, honey and grapefruit. Medium body with an oily texture. Soft fizz. An accomplished beer.

Can from Westhill Service Station. It pours hazy orange copper with a decent foamy white head. The aroma is bright tangy orange, tangerine, blood orange, tangelo, mango, then it's fragrant, pine needles, spruce, floral, resin and some candied orange peel. The taste is rather bitter and dry upfront, pithy orange citrus, zesty, aromatic, orange bitters, campari, negroni, fragrant, white oak, piney, spruce, florals, peppery spice, grass, earth and some light tannin. Finish is long and bitter. Medium body and moderate, fluffy carbonation. Quite intense. The aroma is quite impressive really. For me this works well, but might be a bit much for some.
