Avena is full of Citra, Ekuanot and Chinook. It's smooth upfront with lashings of tropical fruit and grapefruit. The finish holds a burst of Chinook-borne bitterness which leads to a very refreshing experience.

Cask at CBC, Covent Garden on 10th August 2024. Hazy gold with shallow foam and almost no lacing. Fruity citrus aroma. Zesty peel in-mouth with tropical fruits, the two aforesaid foci dominating the finish. Full bodied with a velvet smooth mouthfeel. Pleasant.

Keg at PoW, Farnborough. Big sweet fruity aroma with a citrus edge. Pale hazy orange. Foamy white head. Medium bitter. Tart dry stone fruit. Big resinous woody streak. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Flat-soft carbonation. Long dry astringent finish. Good stuff just not as sweet and fruity as the aroma suggested it would be.

Tap at Bier Bier, Helsinki. Color is slightly cloudy golden with small white head. Aromas and flavors: Fruits, hops and malts. Basic but good strong flavors. Pretty good.
