12 ounce can. Hazy copper color is topped by a large frothy beige head. Aroma has faint hints of cardamom and brown sugar. Upfront is toasted malt and spice. More cardamom and cola notes. A touch of cinnamon toast and dark raisins in middle. Dry, spicy finish has peppery notes.

Grey Lodge Pub, Philadelphia tap: pours brown with a small beige head. Aroma is malt and spice and some light hops. Taste is somewhat sweet. Some butterscotch and something else. Not bad, but again am not in love with the winter warmer style.

It's okay. Nice spice to it.

2014 version. 12oz can. Filtered amber body. Foamy beige head. Fruitcake cinnamon-ginger-allspice aroma. Big fruit, spice...but I kind of dig it in this one. The malt complements it well enough. Spiced Winter Warmer with some Wee Heavy undertones. Well made, enjoyable for what it is.

Crisp amber coloured body with a thin fast-dying tan head. Aroma of caramel, toffee, raisins, figs, plums and some toasted malt. Medium-bodied; Assertive nutty and earthy flavour with a lot of pit fruits and some good toffee notes. Aftertaste shows hints of light spices like cloves, nutmeg and canella and only a touch of sweetness - the rest is earthy malt notes. Overall, a nicely spiced beer with perhaps too strong of a malt and earthy flavour. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from Liqour Outlet in Boonton, New Jersey on 30-November-2013 for US$1.79 sampled at home in Washington on 04-January-2013.

Draft at the source. Hazy amber color, off white head, decent lacing. Aroma of Christmas, very balanced and relatively subtle spice. Taste is malty and the spices are in the background, with a very decent base beer. Nice.
