Of bright ruby color, Bloody Mario is the result of the maturation of the now famous Latte Più di Retorto with cherries from the Piacenza area. Fruity hints and pleasantly acidic notes conferred by the use of cherries. Dry and refreshing.

Bottiglia. Territorio olfattivo dominato da sour, acetico e speziato. L'olfatto viene stimolato in maniera elevata e il modo in cui permane è apprezzabile. Il cappello di schiuma resiste poco. La grandezza delle bollicine è media. Il colore è rosato carico. Il corpo è pieno. L'amaro è di media potenza, con salivazione in bocca data da acidità da frutta. La forza gustativa è elevata e la durata è buona. Le sensazioni boccali finali risultano di birra beverina. Il finale è acido, aspro, bruschino e un po' ruvido. Il retrogusto è intenso. L'aroma in bocca porta i segni di pompelmo, pompelmo rosa, arancia, arancia amara, coriandolo, ciliegia, chiodi di garofano, acetoso, zolfo e legno.

33cl bottle from Abeervinum, Rimini, Italy. Pours dark red, plum, with pretty much no foam. Aroma is of vinegar, grapes, some sour cherries. Body and carbonation are average. Quite an astringency. Taste is medium sour, with some sweetness too. Final is fairly long and astringent.

Draught @ GBBF 2017, [ Great British Beer Festival 2017 ], London Olympia, Hammersmith Road, London, England W14 8UX.[ As Retorto Bloody Mario ].Light unclear medium red colour with a small to average, frothy - fizzy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white - pink head. Aroma is tomato - cherry, celery, coriander, wheat - oat. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration, sweet malt, wheat, yeast, tomato - cherry, coriander - sweet coriander, citrus - orange peel. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20170810] 5-3-5-3-8

Keg at GBBF’17, day three, 10/08/17. Reddish pour with a light crimson cap. Nose is red berries, spice, grassy, herb, grains. Taste comprises tabasco, herb, sweet tomato tang, soured citric peel, light breads, yeast trace, cherry skins, blood orange tang. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Interesting enough offering but not overly sour.

Keg at GBBF. It pours hazy pinkish - red with a small white head. The aroma is sweet, sticky, fruity, tangy toms, Bloody Mary, celery and tangy citrus. The taste is dry, sweet, savoury, tangy toms, tomato, Bloody Mary, bit earthy, light acidity and pithy orange with a dry finish. Light - medium body and fine carbonation. Certainly unique. Fun.

Cask at the GBBF 2017. Day 3. 10/08/2017. A hazed pink peach coloured pour with a a halo of white head. Aroma is salty tomato, basil, crisp,. Flavour is composed of salty, crisp, tomato, basil, cherry, wheaty malts, sweaty, veg. Celery, bloody Mary , crisp finish.
