GBBF Day 1. Cask. Clear amber beer, small bubbly pale cream colour head. Palate is light and dry and has a fine minerally crispness. Thin malts, trace of caramel. Mild red berries and light marmalade. Light dry floral citrus. Fine.

Cask at GBBF’17, day one, 08/08/17. Rich chestnut brown with a decent beige cap. Nose is biscuit malt, toffee, light spice, fruit rinds. Taste comprises brown bread, fruit loaf, biscuit, toffee, dried fruits, brown sugar. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, drying close with balanced earthy hop bitterness. Decent enough offering for the style.

Cask at PoW, Farnborough. Aroma... hmmm... a bit floral. Dark amber. Slightly opaque or that may be the glass. Thin off-white head. Light bitter developing into medium. A malty undertow. Nuts. Some citrus. Medium bodied. A fizz of carbonation, before leaving a chalky residue. Long dry finish. OK, but won’t remember it in a few minutes.alcohol,
