Our award-winning interpretation of the original Czech-style pale lager. Spicy and zesty aromatics from Saaz hops combine with notes of honey and hay from continental Pilsner malt to create a fulfilling and quenching bright lager.

Can. Spicy hop aroma with notes of with notes of hay, honey, grain and grassy hops. Pours clear pale golden colored with a large white head that has excellent retention and little lacing. Starts with spicy hops, hay and grain malt flavors. Finishes crisp and refreshing with honey and grassy hop flavors. Pretty nice pils.

Just Ok. Cleanish, but a bit heavy on the malt, weaker on hop. I think it wasn’t lagered enough, it carries some fairly significant fermentation-fruitiness in there. Doesn’t work, but it remains drinkable enough.

Blue can with gold stripe. Says bohemian in small cursive in teh gold stripe. Pours hay colored and has a rather neutral nose. Initial pilz bite sets in, then I sense good carbonation. Yes, towards the middle the absinthian pils sharpness builds. It rapidly becomes up front with its sharp crabby irreconcilable pilsner character. Not bad but a little ill mannered in the end.

Pour is a clear gold with a large white head. Aroma is cracked malt with a herbal hop. Flavor is a silky but cracker dry malt with a big herbal hop. Finish is dry with those hops left on the tongue. Pretty good.

12 oz. can. Pours a clear, straw color, with a big, foamy, white head. The nose is resin, wet grass, water crackers, and coriander. Sweet and malty, with a fairly bold, resinous bitterness. Light, sticky, and crisp. Pretty nice.

Can best before 12/9/23, drunk 8/22/23. Clear lemon-blonde, small, white head sits at cover. Big herb and floral hop aromatics with delicate honey richness from the malt. Hint of sourdough, clean, great lager yeast character on the finish. Rich honey and sourdough with floral notes, herbaceous hops, good peppery bitterness. Excellent depth of malt and richness with equivalently good attenuation. Clean, great yeast character. Von Trapp is just incredibly solid and underrated stuff.

Pours slightly haze gold into a pilsner. Bright white head with good retention recedes leaving soapy lacing. Cracked corn and hay aromas. Crisp with sweet hot caramel, sourdough and hay upfront turning to bitter pith and roots in the lasting finish.
