Brewed with a blend of Pale, Crystal Rye, Aromatic, Imperial, DRC and Black malts for a rich and sweet malt profile. To keep that residual sweetness in check we cold steeped Density Wave with @hasbean single origin Guatemalan coffee beans.

Third, keg at Mr Foleys Tap House. Slowly diminishing fawn-coloured head over a black body. Fair lacing. Attractive smell of oatmeal and chocolate malts. Well blended taste profile of chocolate and coffee followed by a mid-sweet creamy ending. Smooth on the swallow. Like it. (Leeds 02.07.2019).

Keg at the Two-Tailed Lion, Leicester. Very dark brown with a small creamy tan head. Aroma is of chocolate, black coffee, black grape, some balsamic vinegar. Taste is sweet with a tar-like gravitas, like salmiakki. Some berry-laden notes in the finish along with burnt diner coffee. Drinkable but messy.

Keg at HL1, 05/04/19. Pitch black with a well presented dirty tan cap that dissipates to a swirl. Nose is mellow roast, dark chocolate chip, ashen notes, light charr. Taste comprises chocolate, faint coffee, liquorice, toffee, light roast, pinch of spice, dried fruits. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok porter but a touch thin on the flavour profile ... I expected more.
