Consider for a moment you are one of the passengers on board Speedwell, the smaller sister ship to The Mayflower, who departed from Southampton in the summer of 1620 bound for a new life across the Atlantic, when only miles from shore, she began to leak, forcing it to find repair in Dartmouth. Weeks later the two ships set off again when only 200 miles beyond the south western tip of England discovered the repairs were not good enough, they turned back and headed for Plymouth. As the decision was taken only to progress with the Mayflower, already full, could only accommodate half of Speedwell’s passengers, the question to you is ‘would you stay or would you go?’

3.6% On the SilkTork Southampton through the looking glass tour. Cask handpull at Brewhouse & Kitchen Southampton. Hazy muddy brown. This is not much better than malty water. No condition. Awful.
