Santa knows this is one seriously naughty, but nice beer. Brewed only once a year since it was first released in 1997. Santa's Little Helper has been our annual insurance policy against lumps of cola in our stockings. This Imperial Stout is as black as Christmas Eve with a decidedly smooth finish. We know you'll find it the perfect companion to chestnuts roasting by an open fire, paired with that lump of coal you'll be receiving. We look forward to the release of this beer which signals the impending arrival of the jolly old fat man and his merry band of elves. This year with coffee and cacao. Cheers!

12 oz bottle, with Coffee & Cacao version. Very dark brown with a tan head that fades to a coat & lace. 3+ Aroma is underpinned by roast and chocolate but also has dark sugars, licorice, soy sauce, fudge, seaweed. 7+ Smooth with lowish carbonation. Surprisingly not all that rich with burnt and bitter notes sweeping away the sweetness quite quickly. Some spices at the end. Crude but OK.

Bomber. Mystery Advent beer #7 from Tavour. Aroma is coffee, chocolate, dark bread, licorice. Pours black with a one finger tan head that falls somewhat quickly into a ring. Taste has less sweetness and more bitterness than is typical of most impy stouts these days. Flavors of black coffee, bitter cocoa, herbal hops. The coffee and cacao are there, but they don't change this beer all that much. I used to love the original Santa's Little Helper a great deal about a decade ago, but I'm not as much into it anymore. Still, definitely a good beer, it's just not wowing me as much as it used to.

7th day of tavour, emailed them and this is indeed a limited release compared to regular. Although i am enjoying it more so, seems fresher, more spiced instead of burnt. Enjoyableish.
