Poured from a 750 ml bottle. Aroma is fairly fruity with quite a bit of cranberry notes and some lighter grapefruit and citrus. Faint malt notes with some light caramel. Medium light oak notes with hints of white wine and grapes. Some medium light acidity in the aroma. Pours a slightly hazy, bright golden orange with some slight amber hues and a medium sized, somewhat thin, white head that recedes quickly to the edges where small, thin clumps linger for a bit. Faint lacing and medium small legs. Flavor is moderately acidic with some moderate grapefruit notes upfront. Some light sweetness with hints of malt and light caramel. Light to faint cranberry notes with some medium light oak and white wine notes. Some grapes and light tropical fruit and melon notes. A bit of alcohol in the finish with a touch of honey. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and medium low alcohol warmth. Overall, a nice, unique take on a quad. The fruit notes are well balanced and interesting. The wine barrels provide some nice character and complexity. I’d prefer a beer with a bit lower ABV, but then it wouldn’t be a quad, so...
