Bottle from Hopfengarten Bamberg and drunk at home. Hazy dirty gold colour thin white head . Gherkin on aroma Again never touch extra flavour without being out of balance. If you want a beer that, tastes of gherkin, then this is your beer.

Pale blond colour with thin head. Aroma of cucumber skin. It really tastes of cucumber too, one if the drier knobbly ones. There's a sweetish herbal element too. Behind the gherkin there's a solid pale, hoppy base beer. Bizarre and interesting but nit worthy of repetition.

26/IV/20 - 33cl bottle from Geers (Oostakker), shared @ home, BB: 22/II/20 (2020-376)

Clear orange beer, big creamy bit irregular white head, stable, non adhesive. Aroma: some pickled gherkins all right! Very malty, lots of grains, not as straightforward gherkins/pickles aroma as some other cucumber beers… Would’ve liked a bit stronger aroma. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: oh yes, sweet and sour pickles / cucumbers, some cucumber lemonade, bit too sweet and sugary maybe, but a GREAT pairing with my cheese dog waffles! Aftertaste: sweet and sour, soft bitterness, nice acidity, some caramel malts, more fresh and pickled gherkins, good stuff! Love it!

Bottle 330ml. @ home.[ As Hopfengarten Gurki ].Clear medium yellow colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, wheat, pale malt, cucumber, melon, moderate yeasty, fruity yeast. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average duration, wheat, melon - cucumber, pale malt, grass - hops bitter, light yeasty - sweet yeast. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20190612] 5-3-5-3-11
