As we more fully embrace the characteristics of each fruit that we source, we have somewhat reimagined our fruited Farmstead ales. To more prominently represent those fruits and the variation of each harvest season, we let the fruit guide us in selecting from our range of barrel-aged Farmstead ales—sometimes this will be a single base beer, other times it may be a blend of different barrels—all with the goal of best expressing the fruit’s unique aspects. For this entry, we paired a blend of our Farmstead ales—all of which rested in oak for more than a year—with Balaton cherries from nearby Burtt’s Orchard in Cabot, Vt. This harmonized blend rested in the bottle for over a year, achieving its balance of complex acidity and seasonal fruit rep

Split 3 ways, tart, acetic, cherry, funk. Taste is actually really nice. Tart juicy cherry, with a lingering oak finish.

375mL bottle drunk 10/31/24. Clear, deep pinkish-cherry-red. Small, pinkish head steadily to edge. Similar to the Cherry/Raspberry Harvest 2019 with beautifully expressive, highly aromatic cherry character and playful, fruity Brett. Bit of lactic acidity in there, as well. Maybe not quite as round and playful as the Cherry/Raspberry. Still, very lambic-like and impressive. Cherry is tart and expressive, very highly macerated, leaving no residual sugar. Overall, the beer has started to overattenuate just a bit. Light oak, not as much Brett in flavor; more malo-lactic character. Cherry is phenomenal, though, as long as you don't mind it being tart and dry.

Bottle. Pours deep red. Cherry, sweet cherry, almond, funk, bright acidity, minerally, blackcurrant, delicate herbal and stone fruit notes. Nice soft spritzy body. Excellent.

Rated at Penthouse Platinum Lounge - Pien Edition. Funky, sour and stingy tart with some mineraly notes, yeastiness, farmyard, cherry juice and intense earthiness. Not your typical HF beer

Bottle thanks to Brian. Pours a hazy ruby pink with small off white head that lasts. The aroma is cherry skin, oak, funk. Slick body, sweet cherry, funk, oak, nice tartness, enjoyed this.
