Island is a rendition of Julius featuring a blend of mango & guava purée along with heaps of each in freeze-dried form.

Pouring Julius orange in the glass, Island carries gooey note of overripe tropical fruit, tropical fruit bubble gum and mango sorbet.

A function of simple ingredients executed with care and diligence, Island is a beer worth celebrating. Keep it cold at all times and enjoy fresh!

Canned 9/19/22, drunk 10/14/22. Deep copper-bronze, very hazy, with an off-white head that is large and fades rapidly to slight cover. Juicy fruit additions give authentic tropical fruit flavors alongside tempered acidity hops that add light citrus and juice. Malts are significant, per Julius, but show the nice cracker/biscuit that helps balance the sweet honey. Clean and malty/juicy but not sugary, resinous or alcoholic. Soft, malty, juicy, tropical, citric and with a balanced, restrained hop bitterness. Good acidity from the fruit, as well as authentic flavor. Lotta juice and interesting tropical character. I think this adds a lot to Julius - even if youre not always in the mood for a fruited IPA.

Can thanks to Kromer. Pours a cloudy yellow orange with small white head that lasts. The aroma is grapefruit, melon, mango, papaya. Slick body, juicy, tropical fruit, pine, nice bitterness, enjoyed this.

Fruity, hoppy, a touch bitter. Orange, guava, tropical fruit. A bit astringent, finishes dry. Far prefer J by itself but nice anyway.

Pours a very hazy, darker golden-honey color, with mid-sized, lasting head. Aroma is bright, juicy mango and guava (there seems to be a peach or apricot or other stone fruit note, too). Flavor is mango and guava, with quite a bit of bitterness. Soft, smooth mouthfeel. Could maybe use just a touch of lactose to balance out that bitter finish. I keep thinking these beers could really be great if they were just a bit smoother...

Pours murky mango into a shaker. Bright white head with good retention recedes leaving scant spidery sheets. Sweet guava, passion fruit and mango aromas. Soft with sweet white smarties, melon, guava, lychee, papaya and mango upfront turning to earthy mango peel and tangerine pith in the dusty lasting finish.
