Mighty is an American Barleywine which utilizes malt from Thrall Family Malt. It pours a deep red amber color in the glass. A base layer of caramel, biscuit, and sweet bready malt is our canvas for aggressively hopping this beer. A classic blend of American hops from the Pacific Northwest are used heavily in the kettle, then later dry hopped with whole cone Simcoe hops. Mighty showcases strong notes of citrus, pine, and red berry, both in aroma and flavor. It has been our pleasure making this beer. Enjoy!

Bottle from Tewksbury. Deeply hazy reddish-brown, thin cap of head quickly fading to a ring. Nice viscosity, light lacing. Aroma is strong initial blast of caramel, then light molasses, brown sugar, hint of cardamom, fig and dark fruits. Taste is strong caramel, biscuit/bread as advertised, with slight tart fruit, late pine. Smooth texture, medium bodied, soft carbonation and crisp, caramel/pine finish with lingering bitterness. Aroma is heavenly and super complex--bests taste. Not transcendent but enjoyable.

12oz bottle pours a clear amber with a ring of white head. Nose is malt and caramel and booze and witchhazel, earthy, leafy. Flavors of birch and booze and caramel, malt and chestnut honey and witchhazel. Full bodied, sticky finish.

12oz bottle, undated (fresh), drunk 5/6/23 and then finished the next day while warm and flat. Nose is caramel malt, rich honey, rich vanilla, rich toast and tons of West Coast hops! Wow, it's 2007 again! Tastes like 2007, pine, orange, grapefruit, but not too bitter and not resinous. Very malty and thick and rich and sweet, but good balance via said hops and also toasted malt. I don't love the hoppy west coast american barleywine style, not one bit, but you have to respect the craft here. This is well done.
