16 oz. Can purchased at 7- Eleven Kittery, ME. Deep brown color, weak head. Aroma light charred grain, chocolate, and weak molasses.
Weak roasted grain backbone. The mouthfeel is about right for a porter. Charred grain aftertaste. Standard yet enjoyable.

Can from 7-11 Dark brown/black color with a thin tan head that shows moderate retention. Roasty on the nose with bits of chocolate earth and caramel. the flavor adds a bit of dark pitted fruits. Lingering roasty bitter chocolate finish. Pretty tasty beer.

Draught at the brewery, 4/2/16.
Dark ebony body has light clarity on the edges and is topped by a small but solid tan head.
Vanilla bean, treacle and bitter chocolate in the nose are joined by some more savory saltiness, charred toffee and such.
Charred, earthy, bready notes abound with dark chocolate and rich vanilla-toffee adding a much-needed balance. With warming, more toffee and treacle emerge and the beer finishes somewhat less intensely roasty. Still, a very aggressively roasty, dark porter but clean and free of alcohol. Carbonation is low, but ample while the texture is slick-to-creamy.

On tap at Blackback Pub.
This was poured into a tulip.
The appearance was a nice looking dark brown close to black color with a slim finger’s worth of white to off white foamy head that dissipated evenly and leaving some light rings of messy/somewhat spider web lacing.
The smell starts off with a light roasty to sharp yet somewhat smooth bitter coffee bean roaming into a light cocoa bean underneath. Gentle sweetness of semi-sweet milk chocolate, semi-sweet bitter dark chocolate.
The taste mainly follows through moderately. Light sweet to bitter aftertaste and a semi-sweet to bitter finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. Carbonation runs fairly light.
Overall, I say this was a pretty good America porter that I could have again.
